MUSIC AS THERAPY
AT THE VA MEDICAL CENTER
Music, and the arts in general, has long aided the mind and spirit through its creation, performance and appreciation. Holy Names Music Center, a well established corporation for the musical arts in Spokane, enthusiastically offers their professional music faculty to the Medical Center to add another cultural element to the already existing therapeutic programs. Below is a description of the program we will be offering to the VA Community:
- Guitar: start-up lessons, with an introduction to the instrument and how it’s played. Participants will be given an instrument and taught fundamentals of song writing. This ten week course will give the participant the ability to play and compose on guitar.
Guitar class will start January 30th, 2013 at 3:30pm at the VA.
