Winter Quarter Group Classes
Our Winter Quarter features many beloved group programs that have been staples of Holy Names Music Center for years. Whether you’re a returning student or exploring a new opportunity to grow your musical skills and artistry, we invite you to join one of our group classes this winter.
Group classes offered Winter 2026:
1. Alexander Technique
January 12 – March 23 • Mondays at 7:00 PM
The Alexander Technique has a long history of helping instrumentalists and singers perform with greater ease, reduced tension, and a lower risk of injury. In this class, discover how mindful movement and awareness can support both your body and your artistry.
2. Suzuki Stringlings
February 3 – April 28 • Every other Tuesday at 4:30 PM
Suzuki Stringlings is a fun and engaging beginning strings class for violin, viola, and cello students ages 5–11, taught using the world-renowned Suzuki Method. Through listening, repetition, and group learning, young musicians build essential skills in ear training, posture, ensemble playing, confidence, and musicality.
3. Sing, Say, Dance, and Play
Sessions begin late March • Dates TBD
Sing, Say, Dance, and Play is an engaging six-week music class for children ages 2–6 and their caregivers. Held on Wednesdays at 1:30 PM and Thursdays at 4:00 PM, this playful class invites families to explore music through singing, movement, finger play, acting, and hands-on instrument exploration. Taught using the Orff-Schulwerk approach, children experience music with their whole bodies—fostering creativity, confidence, and a lifelong love of music.
