Nursulu Dyikanbaeva, an exceptional piano instructor at Holy Names Music Center, brings a wealth of experience and a unique teaching philosophy that focuses on how to play the piano rather than just what to play. Beginning her musical journey at the age of six, she studied under the tutelage of Igor Litunenko at the Kyrgyz Republic Special Musical School named after M. Abdraev from 1983 to 1994. She then honed her skills in the Piano Performance Master Program at the Kyrgyz National r musician.
Conservatory of Music, learning from Vitaliy Zhelobkov, a distinguished figure in the Kyiv and Lviv piano tradition, completing the program in 1999. In 2001, she furthered her education by completing the Postgraduate Program at the Kyrgyz National Conservatory. Nursulu’s impressive accolades in piano competitions include winning 3rd prize at the National Piano Competition in 1996, 1st prize at the Youth National Piano Competition in 1999, 2nd prize at the “Musician of XXI Century” International Piano Competition in Kazakhstan in 2000, and participating in the IV International Piano Competition in Almaty, Kazakhstan, in 2008. Her performance career is equally noteworthy, with concerts in South Korea, Kazakhstan, and Austria. As a soloist, she has appeared with esteemed ensembles such as the Kyrgyz National Broadcasting Company Orchestra, Bishkek Municipal Orchestra, and Chui Chamber Orchestra. From 1998 to 2018, Nursulu served as a Senior Accompanist and Instructor in Chamber Music and Collaborative Piano at the Kyrgyz National Conservatory and the Kyrgyz State University of Culture and Art. She has also taught at various musical schools, sharing her expertise with students from diverse backgrounds.
