Holy Names Music Center, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, champions the transformative power of music in enriching individual lives and strengthening the cultural and economic vitality of the Inland Northwest. Our mission is to support the growth of musicians and foster a vibrant music community. By employing exceptional educators and musicians, we work to inspire audiences, patrons, and students alike.
As a cornerstone of the arts, the Center contributes millions annually to the local economy, playing a key role in the Inland Northwest’s cultural landscape. With a focus on nurturing young talent, we provide scholarships, encourage lifelong engagement with music, and continually expand our diverse curricula, programs, and services to benefit the community.
Our distinguished alumni include world-renowned baritone Thomas Hampson, violist Roxanne Jacobson, soprano Karen Beardsley, composer and pianist Julie Ager, as well as numerous current and former members of the Spokane Symphony Orchestra and Chorale. Holy Names Music Center is proud to be an accredited institutional member of The National Guild for Community Arts Education, reflecting our commitment to excellence in music education.

In keeping with its mission, Holy Names Music Center maintains a strong commitment to offer tuition assistance to students pursuing music studies whose current economic circumstances would otherwise prohibit them from doing so. Our Admistration is dedicated to helping everyone at HNMC. The goal of the administration is to develop and maintain procedures that keep things running smoothly – from class registrations, to bookkeeping, to knowing your name – School administration truly believes in our mission.
