Welcome to HNMC! How to Use our Self-Booking Site: A Step-by-Step Guide

We’ve recently integrated a self-booking service called Opus1, which allows you to register for classes, manage payments, communicate with teachers, and update information for yourself or your student—all in one place!

Below is a step-by-step guide on how to register for the 2025–2026 school year.

Important Note:

  • If you would like to take advantage of our:

    • Early Bird Discount (5% off your total tuition when paid in full by Aug 8th

    • Full Enrollment Discount (3% off when you pay the full year’s tuition at the time of registration), 

    • Pay for lessons individually (through our variable pre-paid lesson plan

  • You cannot use the self-booking portal. These discounts are only available through manual registration.

 Step 1: Locate Our Booking Portal

You can find our booking portal in several places on our website:

  • From the homepage, click on either the “Start Your Musical Journey” or “Registration” buttons.

  • Alternatively, use the top menu and navigate to CLASSES/WORKSHOPS > Private Lessons, then click the “Enroll Now” button on the following page.

Step 2: Select Your Service

Once you’re on the booking site, scroll through the various lesson types we offer. When you find the class type you’re interested in, simply click on the image to proceed.

Step 3: Choose Your Lesson Length

On the next page, you’ll see a more detailed description of the selected service. Scroll down to view the available lesson lengths and types. We offer:

  • Regular Lessons (30, 45, or 60 minutes):

    • Billed monthly (10-month school year)

    • Or as single lessons (pay-per-lesson)

  • Trial Lessons (30, 45, or 60 minutes):

    • Ideal for first-timers exploring a new teacher or instrument.

Step 4: Select Your Teacher

Scroll down to view a list of our talented teachers, along with brief bios outlining their backgrounds and experience. Read through and select the teacher you’d like to study with.

Step 5: Select a Payment Plan

Within our self-booking portal, we currently offer one payment plan: the Monthly Membership Plan. Below are the key details on how this plan works: 

Monthly Membership

  • Billed automatically on the 1st of each month, starting with the month after registration.

    (For example: Register in September, your first charge will be on October 1st.)

  • This is a 10-month membership contract covering 37 weeks of instruction, including recitals and events during the 2025–2026 school year.

  • Important: This membership cannot be canceled mid-year. You will be billed monthly through June 1st, regardless of attendance.

  • If you or your student need to cancel a lesson during the school year:

    • You’ll receive a credit that expires in 30 days, which can be used with your teacher based on their availability.

  • If a teacher cancels a lesson:

    • You will receive a credit that never expires, which can be used to reschedule at your convenience.

If this payment plan does not suit your needs, or if you are looking to receive additional discounts, please consider our other options below. These must be scheduled directly with our office via phone or email:

Single Visit (“Variable Pre-Paid Lessons”)

  • Purchase lessons one at a time, or in bundles of 4, 8, or 12.

  • You’ll receive lesson credits to use as needed.

  • No subscription required.

  • Lessons can be canceled at any time, and credits can be used whenever both you and your teacher are available.

Tuition Discounts

We offer two tuition discounts for students and families who choose to pay in full at the time of enrollment:

  1. Early Bird Discount:

    5% off total tuition if paid in full by Aug 8th

  2. Enrollment Discount:

    3% off when you pay for the full year at the time of registration

Step 6: Choose Your Lesson Time

After selecting your teacher and payment plan, choose when you’d like your lessons to take place.

IMPORTANT:

Those registering for the 2025–2026 school year must select a lesson start date on or after September 3rd, 2025 (the first day of our school year).

For those selecting a Monthly Membership, the date and time you choose will set your recurring weekly lesson on the teacher’s calendar for the entire 10-month school year.

Example: If you choose Monday, Sept 8th at 3:00 PM, your lessons will occur every Monday at 3:00 PM.

Once you’ve chosen your date and time, click the blue “Book” button in the bottom right corner of the screen.

Step 7: New Client Registration

If you’re a new client, you’ll be directed to our registration page. Here you can create an account for yourself and any family members.

Already have an account? Click the “Log In” option at the bottom right.

Fill in the required information and click “Create Your Account” to proceed.

Step 8: Finalize Your Booking

Once logged in, complete your booking:

  • Under the quote showing your total, select the “Participant” (the person taking the lesson).

    • If registering for someone else, select their name or click “Add a Dependent” to enter their information.

  • Choose your payment method.

    • The card or method you enter can be saved for automatic or future payments and can be updated at any time.

    • Note: A 3% surcharge applies to all credit card payments.

Step 9: Agree to Terms and Conditions

Before completing your booking, you’ll be asked to review and accept the Terms and Conditions. Many frequently asked questions are answered here.

After reviewing, check the box to agree, then click “Book” to complete your enrollment.
